The role of a Senior Product Management Specialist is responsible for managing the lifecycle of a product or service within NTT Ltd. What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with Engineers, Consultants, Technical Architects and Solution Architects to ensure that the crafted solution meets client requirements.

  • Work with the construction team to ensure we are building what customers and the market need, and collaborate to ensure schedules and building constraints are understood

  • Develop and deliver product training to client facing staff as needed.

  • Influence and guide the Sales team to ensure that they are equipped to close deals that involve their products and services.

  • Engage with and offer support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project’s success.

  • Analyze product data to establish trends and insights using internal and external sources.

  • Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes, and services.

  • Research and interpret competitor offerings and market trends against NTT client base with a strong data analysis focus.

  • Review of product profitability

  • Determines the appropriateness of pricing of existing and new investments strategies in line with projected value, competitor offerings and market trends.

  • Product design and modelling/testing new and existing solutions.

  • Draft and maintain product specifications documents.

  • Evaluate market trends associated with the product of product line.

  • Work closely with product vendors.

  • Work closely with Engineers, Consultants and Project Managers during the initiation stage of a project to ensure its success, including verification that Product requirements are met in multiple design stages.

  • Analyze proposed Design and System changes for consistency with Product offering; adjust Product definitions as needed and assure that proposed changes support the Product offering.

  • Provide product knowledge input assistance for compiling client proposals.

  • Write RFI/RFP responses including validating extensive RFP response database.

  • Obtain vendor product certification for the product portfolio, and collaborate with vendors to keep abreast of their developments, to recommend and adopt how they can benefit our Product offering.

  • Recommend product enhancements and updates to identify new business opportunities.

  • Involvement in product development life cycle to understand how new products or new product features will impact both the end user and the client facing areas that directly support end users.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proven technical expertise and extensive industry experience.

  • Good understanding of the technology industry.

  • Sound analytical skills and proficient with analysis of large data sets.

  • Investigative nature to unpack complicated problems.

  • Proactive and able to use initiative, including in situations across organization boundaries

  • Use good judgment to assert relevant Product department views consistent with strategy, on issues where there is no defined authority; and to seek executive support when required.

  • Evidence of being able to work collaboratively, including across global regions, working with sensitivity respecting culture, way of working, while implementing company initiatives.

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and skills in programming, such as following processes to maintain Products in SAP and Salesforce databases; and implement systems adjustments necessitated by customer requirements.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of product management and service development life cycles

  • Expert knowledge on relevant regulatory and policy framework for the industry, identifying impacts on product portfolio and approach, and providing proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders

  • Knowledge of sales strategies and concepts

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Commerce, etc.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management or similar field

  • Formal training in product and/or project management, PMP, or Six Sigma or equivalent

  • Advanced experience in the data center industry or technology industry

  • Advanced track record of involvement in design and implementing new products or product lines

  • Advanced Information Technology sales experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to operate a computer for e-mail, writing, meetings, etc.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Position may work on-site or remotely, or combination of the two

  • On-site option is in standard office environment, extensive daily usage of workstation or computer; remote work assumes home office or similar with dedicated workspace and high-speed connectivity

  • Some travel may be necessary (no more than 25%)

  • Requires carrying cell phone.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $107,400 - $155,700.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
