Senior Consultant - Banking Conversion Analyst (Consumer Deposits and Loans)

Job Description:

We are seeking a retail banking domain specialist with expertise in Consumer Deposit and Loan products and operations to join our team. As a Conversion and Implementation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing system conversions for these banking products. You will work closely with client business partners and technical teams, ensuring smooth transitions from legacy platforms to target platforms during bank conversion and migration initiatives.

Ideal candidates will bring a mix of product and channel strategy, operational insight, and hands-on leadership in system implementations, migrations, and conversions. Your deep understanding of retail banking products and operations will be essential in guiding clients through successful product conversions and implementations. You'll act as the primary liaison, helping clients define the target state of their products post-conversion, ensuring all requirements are met and systems are aligned with business needs.

This opportunity is for 1099 or Corp-to-Corp consultants only. Candidates must have valid work authorization in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the main point of contact for client product and channels business personnel and technical teams during system conversions.

Analyze client needs, define product parameters, establish operational procedures, and collaborate with technical teams to align business requirements with the target solution. Guide clients through product definition, lifecycle planning, and customer impact assessments.

Facilitate data mapping, testing, balancing, and validation to ensure accurate and seamless system integration.

Design and implement effective product transition strategies that preserve customer experience and revenue integrity.

Coach client stakeholders on system usage, process alignment, and best practices for transformation.

Lead conversion testing and guide clients through the validation process, providing training on new product definitions and procedures.

Act as an on-site expert during conversion, addressing questions, troubleshooting issues, and providing last-minute training and support.

Oversee post-conversion maintenance, including error resolution, system changes, and balancing adjustments.

Travel to client sites for in-person meetings and conversion events across the U.S. as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

You must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in consumer deposit and loan product operations within the banking industry.

Proven success in managing product transitions, platform consolidations, or bank M&A conversions, including familiarity with banking system conversions, data mapping, and software systems configurations.

Prior experience as a deposit or loan product manager in the banking domain is highly desired.

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple, complex project workstreams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with both clients and technical teams.

Proven ability to translate client requirements into technical specifications for system conversions and implementation.

Experience in coaching and training client personnel on new systems and providing ongoing support.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
