Job summary

Ridgeline is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to embed security across our multi-tenant investment management platform. You will partner with product and engineering to design and ship secure features from design through production, with hands-on testing and guardrails that make secure choices the easy path.

You will lead AI-driven security initiatives, perform threat modeling, and mentor engineers while balancing security needs with delivery timelines and user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product security, application security, or software engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in one or more modern languages (Kotlin/Java, TypeScript, Python, Go).
• Hands-on threat modeling and security design reviews for web apps, APIs, and distributed services.
• Strong understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, RBAC/ABAC).
• Familiar with OWASP Top 10, API Security Top 10, CWE and mitigations.

Responsibilities

• Perform security code reviews and testing focused on authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, and sensitive data.
• Own vulnerability lifecycle: triage scanners, tests, assess impact, drive remediation with engineering.
• Build secure-by-default libraries and guardrails for product teams.
• Design and operate AI-driven pipelines for security review and remediation at scale.
• Measure quality with evaluations and feedback loops to earn engineers' trust.
• Evaluate security of AI-powered features, including prompt injection and data leakage.
• Translate threats into concrete product improvements and mentor engineers.
