Job summary

Jito is hiring an engineer to own product and protocol security across multiple product lines. You will report to the Head of Security and collaborate with an Enterprise Security Engineer on internal infrastructure, identity, and detection. This is an engineering role focused on secure software delivery.

You will drive threat modeling, secure design reviews, and vulnerability testing, with hands-on work across Rust/Go/Python stacks and AI security implications.

Qualifications

• You’ve built production systems and now focus on security.
• Experience across threat modeling, secure design review, whitebox testing, and vulnerability testing.
• 5+ years experience with a meaningful portion in software engineering before moving into security.
• Proficiency in at least one systems/backend language (Rust preferred; Go/C++/Python also).
• Experience running or contributing to a bug bounty program; strong AI security interest.

Responsibilities

• Product and protocol security reviews: threat modeling, secure design review, whitebox code review, and early design influence.
• Deployment hardening across product lines and jito-solana deploy process.
• Internal audits of our own products; proactive issue discovery.
• Onchain monitoring with tools like Hypernative or Blockaid; build detections.
• Bug bounty operations: triage, severity, remediation tracking, escalation.
• Auditor findings through to closure: review, prioritize, assign, track.
• AI-assisted security testing and continuous scanning; security tooling within codebase.
• Manage high-impact risks: key hygiene, hot wallets, multisigs, security councils.
