Job summary

Datadog is seeking a security-focused architect for Bits Code to own the security design and implementation from early design through production operations. You will work with engineering, product, infrastructure, and security teams to identify risks and shape the product, building threat models for agent risks and guiding secure software delivery.

You will help the team ship secure software quickly by maintaining core libraries and processes, collaborating with sandbox teams on executing

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or 5+ years in product/security architecture.
• Experience securing systems across complex trust boundaries.
• Experience building/operating full stack systems at scale.
• Familiarity with security risks in agentic systems and pragmatic trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own the security architecture and implementation of Bits Code from design through production.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, infrastructure, and security to identify risks and shape the product.
• Build threat models for new and existing agent risks (e.g., prompt injection).
• Help ship secure software quickly by maintaining core libraries and guiding processes.
• Work with sandbox teams on Bits Code execution of untrusted workloads.
• Be on call; contribute to Datadog's culture of owning what you build.
