Job summary

Diablo Tools Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Senior Product Safety Specialist to oversee safety across the Time-to-Market lifecycle for power tools and accessories. You will coordinate with engineering, regulatory, packaging, and legal teams to ensure compliance and defensible risk management.

The role emphasizes packaging artwork audits, safety labeling, hazard analysis, governance documentation, and cross‑functional leadership to drive safe, compliant launches in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Safety, Quality or Related).
• Progressive experience in product safety engineering, regulatory compliance, quality engineering, or new product development for power tools/ accessories.

Responsibilities

• Hazard & Risk Analysis for new designs and power tool accessories.
• TTM Launch Governance: maintain formal Product Safety Review docs throughout development.
• Decision-making under ambiguity: craft risk-based warnings with limited data.
• Test Report Analysis: review internal/third-party tests for safety compliance.
• Field investigations: analyze customer feedback, warranty returns, and field inquiries.
• Standards monitoring: stay updated on regulatory frameworks with legal.
• Marketing/Media Review: audit imagery to ensure safe operation depiction.
• Team training: mentor NPD teams on safety workflows and risk mitigation.
