Job summary

Teradyne, a global test and automation leader, seeks a Senior Product Compliance Engineer in San Jose, CA to drive safety and EMC compliance across the Compute Test Division. You will partner with design teams, coordinate testing events, and ensure ongoing regulatory readiness from circuit schematics to system design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in product safety and compliance engineering.
• Strong understanding of IEC/EN 61010-1 standards.
• Familiarity with SEMI S2/S8 and IEC 60825-1 standards (nice-to-have).
• Hands-on product safety testing experience.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage product safety and EMC compliance activities for Compute Test Division projects.
• Integrate with design teams to drive early risk assessment and pre-compliance work.
• Coordinate internal and external testing events with certification bodies and labs.
• Ensure compliance with safety/ EMC regulations (CE, NRTL, SEMI, etc.).
• Conduct safety analyses from schematics to system designs and provide recommendations.
• Maintain Test Reports, CDFs, and TCFs to ensure continuing compliance.
• Coordinate EMC pre-compliance and validation activities.
• Communicate and deploy best practices for safety and EMC compliance.
