Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Senior EMC/EMI Compliance Engineer to drive design-for-EMC integration across product architecture, schematics and layout. You will collaborate with global engineering teams to meet regulatory EMC requirements throughout development, and lead EMC test planning and documentation efforts.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, report generation, and mentorship of junior engineers within a fast-paced, ISO-aligned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Physics
• 8+ years design for EMC and test experience
• Solid understanding of EMC/EMI test methods and standards
• Experience with EMC standards such as IEC 61326-1 or equivalent
• Experience working with EMC test software such as EMCWare, Naxio, IEC.control
• Ability to troubleshoot EMC test failures and recommend design improvements
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear English communication

Responsibilities

• Design for EMC compliance across product architecture, schematics and layout
• Develop EMC test plans and participate in design reviews
• Prepare detailed test reports and regulatory submission documentation
• Collaborate with hardware, software and mechanical teams to mitigate EMC risks
• Set up and operate EMC test equipment and perform testing (EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, LISNs)
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on EMC design principles
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lab upgrades
