Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist in Higher Education Product Program Management to own a cross-functional program from roadmap to delivery across Product, Engineering, UX, Content and Go-to-Market. You will align dependencies, risks, and milestones with senior partners and drive outcomes.

This senior individual contributor role requires hands-on delivery, the ability to influence without authority, and a track record of shipping programs on time.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program or technical program management experience in a technology, product, or software organization.
• Experience owning program roadmaps, delivery schedules, and cross-team dependencies across multiple product and engineering teams, including distributed teams in different time zones.
• Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority, manage escalations, and drive decisions using data and clear recommendations.
• Strong written communication and facilitation; pre-reads and updates lead to decisions.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery or similar roadmapping tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end program plan across product, engineering, UX, content, and go-to-market, and the OKRs it delivers each quarter.
• Own prioritization tradeoffs with Product and Engineering leads.
• Drive delivery schedules and launch readiness across multiple teams, including globally-distributed teams.
• Surface dependency risk early and provide actionable recommendations.
• Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners across US and international teams.
