Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management or Product Owner experience.
• 3+ years in healthcare, benefits, or digital health product development.
• Experience building or supporting healthcare navigation, care coordination, or benefits navigation platforms.
• Experience delivering user-centered digital products.
• Strong experience supporting Agile development teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Leadership to understand strategy, roadmaps, and epics.
• Translate initiatives into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Align roadmap objectives with sprint-level execution.
• Own and maintain the product backlog with clear prioritization.
• Break down epics into defined user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Refine and reprioritize backlog based on stakeholder input and feedback.
• Ensure items are ready for development and meet definition of ready.
• Serve as the primary contact for development requirements clarification.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Clarify business rules and workflows to ensure quality delivery.
• Review work to validate it meets acceptance criteria and intent.
• Partner with QA to align test cases with requirements.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate into functional specs.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication and release planning.
• Support enhancements to digital and human-delivered navigation products.
• Identify usability improvements to enhance member experience.
• Track sprint progress and incorporate feedback into backlog updates.
• Contribute to Agile process improvements.

This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver impactful, user-centered digital and human-delivered benefits and health navigation products.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Execution Alignment

• Collaborate with Product Leadership to understand product strategy, roadmap priorities, and defined epics.
• Translate strategic initiatives and epics into detailed, actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Ensure alignment between roadmap objectives and sprint-level execution.

Backlog Ownership & Prioritization

• Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
• Break down epics into well-defined user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Continuously refine and reprioritize backlog items based on stakeholder input, customer feedback, and business needs.
• Ensure backlog items are ready for development and meet definition of ready standards.

Agile Team Support & Delivery

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the development team for requirements clarification.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Clarify business rules, workflows, and edge cases to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Review completed work to validate it meets acceptance criteria and business intent.
• Partner with QA to ensure test cases align with requirements.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Gather and document requirements from business stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Translate stakeholder needs into actionable user stories and functional requirements.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure shared understanding.
• Support release planning and coordinate dependencies across teams when needed.

Healthcare & Navigation Enablement

• Support enhancements to user-centered digital and human-delivered benefits and health navigation products.
• Ensure workflows effectively integrate digital tools with human-supported navigation services.
• Help identify usability improvements that enhance member and client experience.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Track and report on sprint progress, product increments, and delivery outcomes.
• Incorporate user feedback and data insights into backlog updates.
• Contribute to process improvements within the Agile team.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management or Product Owner experience.
• 3+ years in healthcare, benefits, or digital health product development.
• Experience building or supporting healthcare navigation, care coordination, or benefits navigation platforms.
• Experience delivering user-centered digital products.
• Strong experience supporting Agile development teams.

Proven expertise in:

• Writing user stories and acceptance criteria
• Backlog management and prioritization
• Sprint planning and Agile ceremonies
