Job summary

Omni Federal is seeking a Senior Product Owner to support the Air Force by developing and operating modernized applications used daily by the warfighter. This initiative mirrors Silicon Valley practices to quickly deploy capabilities and requires passion for modern architectures and challenging problems for our government clients.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner/PM with backlog ownership in agile environments.
• Strong customer relationship management with government or enterprise customers.
• Clear articulation of requirements, schedules, and team capacity to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make defensible trade-offs under constraints.
• Technical understanding of data pipelines, platform tools, and sequencing across ingestion/processing.
• Experience running agile ceremonies for delivery teams.
• Ability to work independently against ambiguous direction with leadership guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and roadmap for the Data Operations platform, translating customer needs into prioritized requirements for engineering.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact with the government customer, building trust and surfacing real requirements.
• Articulate requirements, schedules, and capacity to customer and leadership, balancing expectations with delivery capabilities.
• Manage competing priorities across data onboarding, pipeline reliability, platform infra, and DevSecOps/compliance.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, and DevSecOps to plan sequencing and ensure architecture cohesion.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives to maximize value.
• Report status, risks, and schedule changes to government customer and Omni leadership.
