Job summary

ICON seeks a Sr. Product Owner to own the execution of the building product portfolio, including wall assemblies and enclosure performance.

You will translate direction into clearly defined work, maintain the backlog, and ensure done criteria are met before release for use. This role collaborates with structures, enclosure, building science, and design technology teams, coordinating with testing, software, hardware, and operations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years owning delivery of a technical product or portfolio with relevant advanced degree.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or management discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ownership of a live portfolio with evolving backlog and program plans.
• Track record delivering complex, multi-team technical programs to committed schedules.
• Experience guiding senior technical specialists to their commitments through influence.
• Experience introducing or changing a development process and securing adoption.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable party for timely and on-budget delivery of building products against defined requirements.
• Own and manage the product development execution process and backlog.
• Translate product direction into clearly scoped, actionable blocks of work for teams.
• Manage prioritization and sequencing to align with goals and keep master schedule current.
• Coordinate with domain leads to ensure best practices stay consistent.
• Oversee validation efforts, manage consultant schedules and budgets, and feed results back.
• Coordinate with product owners in other departments to align system-level interfaces.
• Route stakeholder signal on product performance to leadership and engineers.
• Inform all affected functions of changes and implementations.
• Record, track, and elevate risks and budget/schedule issues to leadership.
• Address scope creep and make real-time scope calls aligned with current goals.
