Salary: $165,000 – $190,000 base + equity

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving go-to-market success by clearly articulating the value of Semgrep’s products to security and engineering stakeholders.
You’ll work across functions—product, sales, marketing, and community—to shape positioning, launch new features, and build the tools that help Semgrep stand out in a competitive AppSec landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and execute product launches for new features and capabilities
Own messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation
Translate technical value into clear, compelling content (e.g., one-pagers, decks, web copy)
Partner with sales and pre-sales to create high-impact enablement materials
Conduct user research and synthesize field insights to guide strategy
Collaborate closely with product managers and developer advocates
Contribute to community and demand generation programs
4+ years in a product marketing, developer advocacy, or product management role
Experience marketing to technical audiences (developers, security engineers, DevOps)
Strong cross-functional experience working with sales, product, and engineering
Ability to create effective GTM content informed by research, customer feedback, and market dynamics
Experience at a growth-stage or early-stage startup
Excellent communication skills across media and formats
Familiarity with software development workflows and application security concepts
Background in AppSec, DevSecOps, or developer tooling
Strong understanding of code scanning, dependency management, or secrets detection
Experience with iterative GTM testing and experimentation
Based in or open to working hybrid from San Francisco (ideal), or New York
Competitive base salary: $165,000 – $190,000
Significant equity grant (ISOs), estimated value between $185,000 – $290,000
