Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy and execution of GM's external vehicle APIs for fleets and partners. You will lead product lifecycle for vehicle command and data APIs, shaping how vehicle data is shared with external developers to create scalable solutions.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, design and program management to deliver high-quality APIs, while partnering with marketing, sales and support to bring new launches to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of product management or relevant industry experience.
• Experience with API, platform, or developer-facing products.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to derive insights from data using SQL, Python or similar tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to articulate complex concepts.
• Proven ability to drive alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Can-do attitude to move forward despite ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for vehicle command APIs and data APIs based on customer needs, feasibility and impact.
• Define user journeys, requirements and success metrics for API features.
• Collaborate with engineering, design and program management to deliver scalable APIs.
• Partner with marketing, sales and support to develop go-to-market strategies.
• Use data to identify improvement opportunities and feed a tight feedback loop.
• Incorporate regional needs and various customer use cases into global solutions.
• Drive secure and compliant data sharing and vehicle control frameworks with legal, cybersecurity and privacy teams.
