Job summary

GovCIO seeks a Senior Product Manager to lead strategy, delivery, and oversight of a custom product within the OCC portfolio for the Veterans Health Administration. You’ll own shared services intake and coordination, support FHIR data governance and data quality, and align stakeholders with technical execution in mission-critical healthcare systems.

This is a fully remote United States position with occasional travel up to 10% for quarterly reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Manager supporting shared services or platform environments with intake, triage, and coordination of demand requests across technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years total experience and 5-8 years in product/program management in healthcare/technical settings.
• 3-5+ years in a data analytics or data-oriented environment.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments leading cross-functional teams to define product vision and measurable outcomes.
• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear technical requirements.
• Strong issue resolution skills and ability to drive timely solutions.
• Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Exposure to FHIR standards or healthcare data governance.
• Familiarity with data quality and pipeline troubleshooting across technical teams.
• Experience managing vendor/contractor teams and evaluating delivery.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Agile tools.

Responsibilities

• Own intake and triage of shared services demand requests and translate into scoped work.
• Direct shared services projects through design, implementation, and testing.
• Coordinate across technical teams to schedule tasks, align dependencies, and resolve blockers.
• Define requirements and plan lifecycle deployment with engineering on shared services architecture.
• Manage integrated project plans, budgets, risk, and status reporting.
• Lead sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives and resolve delivery issues.
• Prepare issue summaries and briefings, escalating risks to leadership as needed.
• Assist with FHIR data governance and data quality/pipeline troubleshooting with data engineers.
• Manage vendor and delivery partner deliverables and ensure quality standards.
• Advise clients on strategic and technical solution options.
• Collaborate with business owners and clinical SMEs on product decisions.
• Conduct project meetings and support technical teams.
