Amperesand is building a new class of intelligent, software-defined power infrastructure products with hubs in Reno. We seek a Senior Staff Product Manager to translate the platform vision into tangible inverter platform offerings for high-density data-center power, working with engineering, firmware, and commercial teams to drive strategy and go-to-market success.

You will own the roadmap for medium-voltage inverter platforms, collaborate with battery providers, and align cross-functional teams

Competenze

8+ years in product or technical leadership within data-center power or level 3 DC fast charging or grid-scale batteries.
Strong understanding in MV, AC/DC architectures, grid interconnection, redundancy schemes, and fault protection.
Energy Storage & EMS Familiarity: Experience with hybrid systems and integration of batteries or EMS solutions.
Experience building business cases and customer ROI models for infrastructure or capital-equipment sales
Proven ability to work with engineers, firmware developers, and system architects to deliver complex hardware-software products.
Exposure to AI data-center designs, energy-management systems, or hybrid-grid microgrids
BSEE required; MSEE or MBA preferred

Mansioni

Own the product roadmap for medium-voltage inverter and SST platforms enabling medium voltage and ±800 V DC distribution inside data-center campuses.
Quantify ROI for customers through PUE/WUE improvements, power-density gains, and CapEx vs OpEx trade-offs.
Partner with battery providers to drive deep technical integration with the SST and deliver seamlessly integrated systems to the customer.
Engage directly with hyperscalers, colocation providers, and data-center design-build firms to define performance metrics for uptime, energy density, and fault containment.
Translate customer site designs into scalable product configurations that integrate grid, genset, and storage assets.
Monitor global data-center power trends (AI rack loads, liquid cooling, regional grid codes, flexible interconnects) and feed insights into roadmap decisions.
Ensure electrical, mechanical, thermal, and firmware designs meet Tier III/IV reliability targets and UL/IEC/IEEE compliance (UL 1741, UL 2877, IEC 61850, 62477, IEEE 1547).
Align power-electronics, embedded-firmware, EMS, and mechanical teams around unified release plans.
Collaborate with manufacturing and supply-chain to ensure cost, scalability, and manufacturability targets are met.
Partner with sales and applications engineering to generate customer proposals, value models, and technical collateral demonstrating differentiation versus legacy UPS/transformer systems.
Conduct competitive benchmarking versus central inverter, rotary UPS, and lithium-ion BESS suppliers.
Identify regulatory and incentive frameworks (energy-storage credits, grid-support revenue streams) that influence pricing strategy and product adoption.
