A scaling energy technology company is developing next-generation high-power conversion platforms deployed into critical industrial and digital infrastructure environments.
We are hiring a senior technical leader to architect and scale advanced grid-interactive and DC-based power systems operating in the 50kW to 500kW+ range. This role sits at the center of converter architecture, system definition, and long-term platform evolution.
What You Will Own
- Architecture of high-power AC/DC and DC/DC conversion platforms
- Topology selection and system-level trade studies including interleaved, DAB, LLC, phase-shifted full bridge, and multilevel structures
- Switching strategy across Si, GaN, and SiC technologies
- Magnetics design strategy including high-frequency transformer optimization and planar approaches
- High-voltage, high-current layout architecture with focus on parasitic control and low-inductance design
- Mixed-signal power PCBA development in high-noise, high-density environments
- Thermal system architecture and cooling strategy at platform scale
- EMC and industrial compliance strategy
- Requirements definition with full traceability from concept through deployment
- Validation from simulation through hardware bring-up and full system testing
- DFM and DFT alignment through New Product Introduction
You will influence technical standards across product families and guide architecture decisions that shape future releases.
What We’re Looking For
- MSEE or PhD with strong depth in power electronics
- Demonstrated ownership of industrial, field-deployed platforms
- Deep experience with wide-bandgap devices in production environments
- Strong intuition for switching loss tradeoffs, magnetics optimization, and system efficiency at scale
- Experience leading senior engineers and complex cross-functional programs
Experience in grid-interactive systems, medium-voltage front ends, or DC-based infrastructure platforms is highly valued.
The Environment
- Engineering-led culture with strong technical autonomy
- Clear product roadmap and long-term deployment strategy
- Direct integration into critical energy and infrastructure systems
- High ownership, low bureaucracy
This role sits at the intersection of grid evolution, high-density power, and large-scale electrification. The work ships into real infrastructure environments and operates at power levels needed for the next-gen of mission critical infrastructure.
