Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Irving, Texas, is seeking a Sr Product Manager to own one or more products of moderate complexity. You will craft strategy, build roadmaps, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused features.

You’ll also coach junior PMs and represent customer needs to peers across the organization. You will evangelize insights, partner with engineering and business partners, manage the design process, and set milestones to ensure timely delivery while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or Business.
• Experience delivering product features and requirements.
• Influence with engineers and customer-focused design.
• Ability to decompose problems and define DoD and KPIs.
• Experience managing Jira boards and agile sprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Evangelize peers with customer insights across their focused domain area.
• Form a global understanding of the customer experience based on insights from multiple sources.
• Represent customers in trade-off decisions within their domain.
• Develop global product strategy.
• Partner across teams in creating a customer experience.
• Provide a strong product point of view with business partners.
• Manage the design process through multiple waves of divergent and convergent thinking.
• Adjust requirements based on new data or strategy changes.
• Design tests to evaluate solutions with data.
• Adapt analysis to a specific situation with global implications.
• Analyze data for multiple complex scenarios.
• Understand systems and technologies related to their domain.
• Facilitate technical design across teams and platforms.
• Set milestones and final deadlines for cross-functional teams.
• Advocate software development methodology for projects.
• Create and manage product roadmaps.
• Ensure buy-in for the product strategy within cross-functional teams.
• Adapt approaches to changing situations.
