Job summary

Alternative Payments is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own a full product area spanning accounts receivable, accounts payable, and analytics end to end. You’ll craft the problem set from data, defend your roadmap, and own the customer experience across launches.

The role requires 7+ years in product management, strong problem-solving in fintech, and the ability to write clear PRDs for engineering. Hybrid work eligibility in New York, with competitive compensation and equity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience, with real proof you’ve generated a problem set from ambiguity, not only executed one that was handed to you.
• Structured problem-solving that identifies the actual binding constraint.
• Genuine sophistication in fintech, payments, or another inherently complex domain.
• Written narratives and PRDs that persuade stakeholders and give engineering enough to act on.
• Strong ownership and accountability for outcomes across team boundaries.
• Decisiveness under incomplete information with clear reversal conditions.
• Coachability and willingness to update positions with new evidence.
• Ability to rapidly gain working expertise in an unfamiliar domain.

Responsibilities

• Set success and guardrail metrics and defend why they are better than alternatives.
• Prioritize roadmap and descoped work when evidence suggests it shouldn’t ship.
• Own the full customer experience around launches: enablement, support load, pricing, rollout.
• Write PRDs and artifacts clear enough for engineering to implement without follow-up.
• Engage in system design discussions and leverage AI coding tools in day-to-day work.
• Help shape a standardized PM process across product areas.
