Job summary

DataKind is seeking a Senior Product Manager for a fully remote role based in the United States. You will own product strategy and outcomes for a domain, collaborating with Education or open source products, and coordinating with Engineering, Data Science, and Implementation teams.

The role requires 6+ years in product management, experience with data infrastructure, and a track record of delivering enterprise software.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with Agile methodologies.
• 2+ years of experience with data infrastructure, backend systems, or B2B SaaS platforms.
• Experience in the Edtech or open source space.
• Working proficiency with SQL and Git workflows.
• Track record of setting product strategy and roadmaps under ambiguity.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Set multi-quarter product strategy and roadmap for your domain, grounding decisions in user evidence and dependencies.
• Lead user discovery to ground priorities in evidence.
• Own product decisions with minimal oversight; escalate only cross-domain conflicts.
• Shape product direction with Engineering for scalable architecture and user needs.
• Define success metrics for each domain and build reporting for partners and funders.
• Contribute to portfolio strategy with the Director, Product Management and represent domain to donors and partners.
