Job summary

Adyen seeks a Senior Product Manager for Data, Machine Learning and GenAI Platform to lead the Data Developer Experience. You will work with Data Engineers, ML Scientists, and GenAI Engineers to understand user journeys and prioritise opportunities for the platform.

You will own the strategy, roadmap, and collaboration with platform, data, and product teams to deliver scalable, high-quality developer experiences. This Amsterdam-based role emphasizes in-person collaboration at our office.

Senior Product Manager - Data, Machine Learning and GenAI Platform

20 years of payments data is a powerful asset. But only combined with the proper platform and solid processes, it can release its full potential. That’s why the Big Data, Machine Learning and GenAI platforms, within the Application Intelligence portfolio, are key for Adyen’s success.

Platform Engineering builds Adyen’s internal developer platform as a Product, enabling our internal developers to autonomously build, run and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable applications with high speed and quality. Our data platform supports the creation and evolution of different data products (e.g. Machine Learning models, GenAI apps, data pipeline, insights dashboards), impacting both merchants and key internal processes.

The platform is currently serving 600+ active users including Data Engineers, Machine Learning Scientists, Applied AI Engineers or Data Analysts. All of them use data as their main asset, at the same time they all have different needs. As a Senior Product Manager, you will directly interact with this group to understand their user journeys and identify and prioritize opportunities for the platform to improve. Your goal is to bring the data developer experience (DevEx) to the next level, setting every user persona for success while keeping shared, high-quality standards.

What you’ll do

• Own the strategy and vision for Adyen’s Data Developer Experience, ensuring it delivers a scalable, and intuitive experience across all roles and user journeys.
• Define priorities balancing short-term needs with long-term transformation, consolidating fragmented tools and processes into a cohesive ecosystem.
• Shape and drive the platform roadmap to reduce friction for users, directly impacting the velocity of Adyen’s data and AI products delivery.
• Partner with platform teams to design developer experiences that prioritize autonomy and control, while simultaneously elevating developer accountability for system performance and output quality.
• Proactively identify emerging trends in the data domain to future-proof our platform roadmap, ensuring Adyen remains at the forefront of data developer productivity.
• Assess the needs of non-technical customers —such as product managers and second-line teams— and design capabilities that facilitate their ability to effectively interact with and utilize our data products.

Who you are:

• 5+ years of experience as a (senior) Product Manager with a track record of delivering outcomes in the data domain.
• Strong data foundation knowledge, enabling you to collaborate effectively with users (Data Engineers, Machine Learning Scientists and GenAI Engineers) and platform teams.
• Ability to make strategic trade-offs, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term platform investments as well as competing stakeholder demands.
• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, capable of driving alignment across product, engineering, and operational stakeholders.
• Data-driven approach, capable of translating subjective user feedback and quantitative data into clear impact insights to lead decision making.
• Experience driving adoption of platform solutions and embedding them into developer workflows.
• Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy in leading initiatives and decision-making, while remaining a collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and actively contributes to a supportive culture.

Bonus points for:

• Previous hands-on experience as Data Engineer, Machine Learning Scientist or similar roles.
• Background in platform engineering or developer experience roles.
• Prior experience in fintech or other high-reliability regulated industries.
