Job description

Articulate is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of Custom Block—a flexible, powerful tool that empowers creators to build custom layouts, and interactive learning experiences directly inside Rise.

Custom Block enables creators to break free from rigid templates and design content that engages, adapts, and teaches with impact.

As a Senior Product Manager for Custom Block, you’ll lead the charge in transforming static course content into custom interactive learning experiences. You’ll give creators the freedom they crave—with the structure they need—to build beautiful, impactful content that learners actually engage with.

If you’re excited about shaping the future of learning design we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:
  • Drive the Roadmap
  • Transform high-level product strategy into a roadmap that expands Custom Block’s capabilities—empowering creators to build visually rich, interactive, and custom-designed learning content.
  • Prioritize features that move us beyond static layouts toward true design freedom and engagement.
  • Lead Continuous Discovery
  • Champion ongoing discovery and use insights from qualitative research, usage data, and competitive tools to uncover unmet needs and shape the future of interactive learning design in Rise.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
  • Partner with engineering, product design, and data teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality editing and interactivity tools.
  • Work closely with customer-facing and go-to-market teams to ensure new Custom Block features drive adoption and creator delight and success.
  • Own Outcomes and Storytelling
  • Define success metrics, track usage, engagement, and learning outcomes to measure impact.
  • Communicate roadmap progress and product vision clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enable True Customization & Interactivity
  • Design systems for simple, engaging interactivity—such as click-to-reveals, image overlays, and visual effects.
  • Ensure creators can craft engaging, visually expressive learning moments with ease and confidence.
  • Integrate Seamlessly Across Rise
  • Shape the visual editor experience and the full range of outputs while ensuring Custom Block fits naturally within the Rise authoring experience.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to maintain consistency, support content reusability, and deliver a unified course-building workflow.
  • Shape AI-Augmented Design Workflows
  • Define how AI can enhance the creation process in Custom Block—helping users generate layouts, apply visual styling, or build content faster through smart, intuitive assistance.
What You Should Have:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of creative tools, presentation platforms, or interactive authoring systems.
  • A proven track record of building experiences that support visual storytelling and learner interactivity.
  • Deep empathy for course creators and a strong grasp of how other design tools are used in learning workflows today.
  • Familiarity with component-based design systems, drag-and-drop interfaces, or no-code platforms.
  • Fluency in continuous discovery practices and the ability to distill insight into action.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with platforms like Figma, Canva, Genially, or Webflow.
  • Background in learning design, EdTech, or instructional design.
  • Understanding of accessibility and compliance for interactive content.
  • Knowledge of how to support extensibility.
