Job summary

SAS is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Core UI in a hybrid Cary, NC setting. Lead strategy for UI foundations, component libraries, and visualization capabilities to enable SAS products.

Collaborate with engineering, UX, architecture, and product teams to deliver scalable, accessible UI solutions across Foundation, Applications, and SaaS divisions. You will drive roadmaps, define adoption plans, and communicate value to customers and internal stakeholders while ensuring security and quality

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Product Management or related functions in technology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, CS, HCI, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience managing or consuming enterprise UI platforms, design systems, component libraries, graph/visualization frameworks, or reusable developer platforms.
• Experience building or delivering technical solutions at scale with accessibility and UX considerations.
• Familiarity with modernizing legacy codebases and API/platform adoption.

TheCore UI departmentis looking for aSeniorProduct Manager to drive product strategy for Core UI’s shared UI foundation, focusing on reusable components, graph and visualization capabilities, and domain-aligned UI kits that help SAS teams build consistent, accessible, and dependable experiences across products.

In this key role, you will set product direction and create roadmaps and lead stakeholder alignment for Core UI foundation capabilities, including UI Component libraries, Graph/Visualization foundations, and reusable Content, Data, and Emerging AI capabilities (Domain Kits) for common product capabilities. With your enterprise software, platform, and user experience knowledge, you will help SAS reduce duplicated UI work, improve adoption of shared foundations, and accelerate consistent product delivery acrossSAS’sFoundation, Applications, and SaaSdivisions. You will bridge technical and business priorities by collaborating closely with customers, product teams, Research & Development, User Experience,Accessibility,Architecture, and Engineering teams.

As the face of these shared UI foundation capabilities, you will play a strategic and global role, partnering with engineering, design, architecture, product management, customer support, enablement, sales, and marketing teams. You will communicate product functionality, roadmap direction, adoption guidance, and business value to internal constituents, customers, partners, and community members.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will:

• Define and prioritize requirements for Core UI Components, Graphlibrary, server and services, and Domain Kits based on business drivers, customer inputs, product-team demand, accessibility expectations, and field contribution.
• Create andmaintainroadmaps for reusable UI foundations, includingcomponentlibraries, data visualization/graph capabilities, and domain kits for common platform/product workflows.
• Translate business and consumer needs into technical, functional, and non-functional requirements that engineering, design, and architecture teams can execute.
• Define user personas, adoption scenarios, and use cases for product teams consuming shared UI foundations and domain kits.
• Drive product development in partnership with software development teams, UX designers, architects, program management, and consuming product teams.
• Prioritize investments that reduce duplicate implementations, improve product consistency, accelerate adoption, and minimize breaking-change impact for consumers.
• Present product vision, roadmap, adoption progress, and demonstrations to internal constituents, customers, and leadership audiences.
• Identifyemerging technology, market, and consumer needs that create opportunities or risks for Core UI foundations, graph/visualization capabilities, and Domain Kits.
• Support launches, migration planning, release readiness, and knowledge transfer to product teams, enablement, marketing, sales, and support teams.
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Product Management, technical product strategy, platform product management, or related functions in the technology industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing or consuming enterprise UI platforms, design systems,componentlibraries, graph/visualization frameworks, or reusable developer platforms.
• Experience building or delivering technical solutions that solve customer or product-team problems at scale.
• Experience with accessibility, UX standards, API/platform adoption, release planning, and migration/change management.
• Familiarity with modernization of legacy codebases to modern languages and software practices.
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

• Excellent critical thinking skills with a demonstrated history of making prioritization decisions in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear product narratives, adoption plans, and customer value propositions.
• Comfortable delivering presentations, demos, workshops, roadmap reviews, and technical/product content to a range of audiences.
• Deep understanding of API-driven platforms, component libraries, and shared engineering frameworks, with the ability to guide teams in building consistent, scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Ability toand define creative solutions that deliver consistent, accessible, and compelling user experiences.
