Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Sr. Product Manager for the Connected Aircraft Navigation Systems.

You will define and execute product strategy for the Flight Management Systems, coordinate with engineering, contracts, and sales, and drive growth across the portfolio. A focus on the Boeing 737 FMS update program is expected, with preferred locations in Grand Rapids or Clearwater, but US-wide remote work is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant avionics experience in product/ program management, systems engineering, or engineering.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
• This position requires U.S. citizenship status.
• In-person attendance for New Hire Orientation on Day 1 if working remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update product line strategies and technology roadmaps to support growth and market competitiveness.
• Define how the product line will win by evaluating customer needs, competition, and investment priorities.
• Present strategy updates in regular business reviews and track progress on actions.
• Engage customers early with Sales and Account Managers and represent the product line at industry events and demonstrations.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities by shaping solutions and supporting pricing and gate reviews.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop proposals with engineering, pricing, contracts, and operations.
• Lead product execution for assigned programs as the main customer interface and drive alignment across the product team.
• Own investment planning including IR&D projects and prioritize development with engineering.
• Identify external funding opportunities through early customer engagement and proof-of-concept activities.
• Build partnerships to strengthen the portfolio and inform make/buy decisions.
• Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity as a market intelligence leader.
• Coordinate with program and sales teams to review and validate the product opportunity pipeline.
• Own product line marketing content including presentations and website content.
• Support IP strategy with patent reviews in key tech areas.
• Manage product line financial performance and forecast support.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Operate with GE Aerospace’s principles for continuous improvement and customer focus.
