Job description

Work Model: Hybrid during initial discovery (22 weeks); fully remote afterward

Compensation: Up to $180K

Company

We are a fast-growing, award-recognized digital engineering firm that partners with major consumer brands on high-impact transformation programs. Our teams bring product, design, engineering, data, and AI together to build modern customer and associate experiences. This role anchors a new clienteling program for a specialty apparel retailer that is investing heavily in personalization and the store experience.

Position

You will own a store-associate clienteling capability from the ground up: in-store discovery, product vision and roadmap, requirements and prioritization, and delivery through rollout across three release waves. During discovery you will be in New York-area stores with associates, store leaders, and senior business stakeholders; afterward you will work primarily remotely with project-driven travel. You report to our delivery leadership, partner with a lead UX designer and the engineering team, and are the single point of product decisions for a client that is relying on you to define what great clienteling looks like.

What you will do

  • Lead store discovery, associate interviews, and current-state mapping of selling workflows

  • Define vision, objectives, roadmap, and release scope; own and defend the backlog

  • Write epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering & QA can execute without ambiguity

  • Drive integration decisions across POS, CRM and customer data, loyalty, catalog, inventory, and order management

  • Validate releases against approved requirements and lead rollout readiness

What you bring

  • 6+ years of product management (8+ preferred) with direct ownership of a retail clienteling product or capability

  • Hands-on experience with store-associate applications: client books, customer profiles, personalized outreach, sales attribution, associate adoption

  • Strong retail and omnichannel systems fluency (POS, CRM/CDP, loyalty, inventory, OMS) and comfort with APIs and data quality

  • Proven discovery-to-delivery ownership, from store discovery through rollout

  • Presence with store leaders and senior stakeholders; crisp written and verbal communication

Preferred: specialty, apparel, or luxury retail; platforms such as Tulip, Salesfloor, Endear, KWI, NewStore, Mad Mobile, or Salesforce; all-store rollout and change management; consulting or client-delivery background; AI-enabled recommendations.
