Job summary

Allen Institute for AI seeks a seasoned Product Manager to own engineering and data frameworks for Asta, Ai2’s platform for building science-focused agents. You’ll partner with researchers and engineers, shaping requirements, roadmaps, and APIs, while ensuring reliability and governance for the knowledge graph and public interfaces.

You’ll drive collaboration between engineering and research, define payoff-focused milestones, and advocate for adoption across Ai2’s internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5–8+ years of product management experience in APIs or developer-facing products.
• Ability to translate ambiguous research needs into concrete engineering requirements.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams on technical platforms and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Define engineering requirements by working with Ai2 researchers for the Agentic Frameworks team.
• Build and sequence the roadmap for Asta's framework and tools.
• Create a continuous feedback loop between engineering and research.
• Drive adoption of Asta's tools among Ai2 researchers.
• Own the Semantic Scholar data platform end to end.
• Own Ai2's benchmarking strategy for scientific agents.
• Ensure regulatory and governance compliance for products.
• Represent researcher perspective in engineering planning.
• Contribute to product management discipline within Strategic Programs.
