Job summary

New York Life Insurance Co. seeks a Senior Product Manager for the PPG Planning initiative, leading the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a next‑gen financial planning tool for agents, advisors, and clients.

The role collaborates across Technology, AI, Actuarial, Legal, and Compliance to ensure scalable, compliant product experiences. The candidate brings 8+ years in product management with financial engineering experience and a track record of building AI-enabled, data-intensive features,

Qualifications

8+ years of product management experience in complex, calculation-intensive, or highly regulated products.
5+ years of financial engineering domain experience — quantitative finance or actuarial concepts.
Experience building or managing AI-enabled or data-intensive product features.
Experience partnering with distribution, sales, or field-facing organizations to drive adoption.

Responsibilities

Translate strategy into a prioritized set of product capabilities and features for agents and advisors.
Evaluate market trends, competitors, and AI capabilities to inform the roadmap.
Own the path from implementation through readiness, adoption, and value realization.
Define planning calculations, modeling logic, and assumptions embedded in the product.
Partner with Actuarial and quantitative teams to validate models.
