Job summary

Avathon, Inc is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own Planning on the Avathon platform, starting with integrated demand planning. This covers statistical and ML-based forecasting, demand sensing, demand-supply matching, inventory positioning and S&OP for manufacturers and asset-heavy operators in energy, mining, manufacturing and aerospace.

You will turn our current customer-specific planning into a single product with a clear roadmap, built on the Computational Knowledge Graph and AI agents.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management, with at least 4 years owning a supply chain planning product
• Experience at a planning software vendor or leading planning systems at a large manufacturer
• Depth in demand planning; knowledge of statistical and ML forecasting methods
• Breadth across plan-to-fulfill: demand-supply matching, inventory optimization, allocation and S&OP
• Experience shipping AI or ML driven product features to enterprise customers; agentic workflows in planning are a strong plus
• Comfortable with ERP, MES and PLM data and how it flows into planning
• Experience in industrial B2B environments such as manufacturing, mining, energy or aerospace is a plus
• Strong written communication; ability to write a one-page product brief for engineering and sales

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, roadmap and priorities for Planning across demand, supply, inventory and S&OP
• Know the market and compare competitors (Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, Oracle, SAP IBP) and where AI-native approaches win
• Shape agentic planning and define how planners interact with and override agents
• Decide what goes into the core product versus customer configuration
• Define how planning connects to PLM, BOM data, logistics, procurement and asset health
• Own the demand planning module: forecasting, ML-based sensing and collaborative reviews
• Design collaborative workflows for analysts, planners, sales and S&OP leaders with an audit trail
• Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria; track adoption and value delivered
