Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Manager - AI to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of AI-powered digital products across retail, eCommerce, delivery, and marketplace spaces.

You will identify high-impact AI opportunities and drive them from discovery to scalable products, collaborating with product, engineering, data science, UX, operations, marketing, sales, legal, compliance, security, and leadership.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of consumers, merchants, and operators using qualitative and quantitative insights to identify meaningful AI opportunities.
  • Define and communicate a clear AI product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Identify, prioritize, and scope AI use cases across personalization, search and discovery, customer support, merchant enablement, driver experience, fraud and trust, forecasting, pricing, routing, and last-mile operations.
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive user experiences and measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with data science, machine learning, software engineering, and analytics teams to evaluate technical feasibility, data readiness, model performance, scalability, and operational requirements.
  • Lead product discovery through stakeholder feedback, market research, customer research, usability testing, experimentation, and user acceptance testing.
  • Establish success metrics and measurement frameworks for AI products, including adoption, engagement, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, revenue impact, quality, latency, reliability, and model performance.
  • Define requirements for AI-powered features, including product requirements documents, user journeys, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, evaluation plans, and launch criteria.
  • Work closely with engineering and technical teams to ensure AI products and releases are designed, developed, tested, deployed, and operated successfully.
  • Establish approaches for model evaluation, human-in-the-loop workflows, monitoring, feedback collection, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, privacy, security, and risk stakeholders to support responsible, transparent, and compliant AI adoption.
  • Develop recommendations to expand the product portfolio and shape the long-term role of AI across the business.
  • Create alignment across senior management and cross-functional teams by clearly communicating priorities, trade-offs, risks, and decisions.
  • Lead through influence, build trust across disciplines, and create alignment around customer and business problems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Job description

The Senior Product Manager - AI will lead the strategy, development, and delivery of AI-powered digital products and experiences within a fast-paced retail, eCommerce, delivery, and marketplace environment. The role will identify high-impact opportunities to apply artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI to improve customer experiences, merchant and operator capabilities, delivery operations, driver experiences, and business outcomes. The Product Manager will work across product, engineering, data science, analytics, UX, operations, marketing, sales, legal, compliance, security, and senior leadership to transform AI opportunities from discovery and experimentation into scalable, measurable products and continuously optimize them after launch. This is a 9-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumers, merchants, and operators using qualitative and quantitative insights to identify meaningful AI opportunities.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, including experience delivering digital products and user experiences at scale.
  • 2+ years of experience leading AI, machine learning, generative AI, data products, or intelligent automation initiatives.
  • Experience taking AI or data-driven products from discovery and experimentation through production launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Technical fluency with modern technology platforms, microservices, APIs, and databases.
  • Experience working closely with software engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, designers, analysts, and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated track record of making data-informed product decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy, manage roadmaps, prioritize investments, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and high emotional intelligence.
  • Hands-on, outcome-oriented approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models, recommendation systems, personalization, optimization, forecasting, computer vision, or conversational experiences.
  • Experience designing AI evaluation frameworks, experimentation strategies, or human-in-the-loop systems.
  • Experience with responsible AI practices, including privacy, safety, fairness, explainability, and governance.
  • Experience leading cross-functional product teams or mentoring Product Managers.
  • Experience in delivery, logistics, marketplace, retail, eCommerce, mobility, or other operationally complex businesses.
  • Master's degree in a technical, business, or related field.
