Job description

Paradigm is a software company transforming the way that the residential, construction & building product industries operate across the globe. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager - AI to be part of revolutionizing these industries. We are building the future with modern software engineering, agent-assisted systems, and mobile-first experiences. We are powered by our parent company, Builders FirstSource (NYSE: BLDR).

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager - AI to own AI capabilities that automate order entry on myBLDR, the digital platform of Builders FirstSource. Customers and sales teams send orders in many forms such as PDFs, emails, spreadsheets, photos, and material lists. You will lead the product that reads these inputs, extracts the details, matches them to the right products, validates them against business rules, and creates accurate orders with minimal manual effort. You will define what "good" looks like to ship LLM-powered features that customers and internal teams trust in production. This role is for someone who is equally comfortable in discovery conversations with order-entry teams and in deep technical discussions with engineers about models, prompts, and evaluation.

What You Will Do:
  • Drive the growth & success of AI-powered order entry automation on myBLDR. Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product roadmap, while aligning with company strategy, customer needs, and fast-moving AI and market trends.

  • Advocate for users by deeply understanding their workflows and exception cases, synthesizing feedback, and ensuring AI-driven products deliver trustworthy user experiences.

  • Lead AI capabilities through every phase, from ideation and prototyping to development, launch, and post-launch optimization, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

  • Define the end-to-end automation experience: ingesting orders from multiple channels and formats, extracting structured data, matching customer language to the product catalog, validating against pricing, availability, and business rules, and creating the order in downstream systems.

  • Define and run the evaluation process for AI systems: build golden datasets, set accuracy metrics, and run regression testing whenever models, prompts, or data change.

  • Partner and communicate effectively with design, sales, operations, and other stakeholders to prioritize features, resolve complex challenges, and drive adoption and change management, including phased rollouts by customer segment or location.

  • Establish goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product success, including match accuracy, time to order, error and cost.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • 4+ Years of demonstrated success as a Product Manager or related role, including 2 years of hands-on experience with AI products.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI, including prompt design, structured output and extraction, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool use, and agentic workflows.

  • Demonstrated experience designing evaluations for AI systems: golden datasets, quality metrics, error analysis, and regression testing across model and prompt changes.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts and clearly communicate tradeoffs and decisions.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and recall detailed information in a timely manner.

  • Deep business acumen with the ability to complete actionable market analysis, generate feedback and optimize product offerings.

  • Highly adaptable and resilient, with the ability to adjust and change direction as the business & tech environments evolve. Entrepreneurial in spirit; unchartered territories & problems are energizing.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex challenges and guide cross-functional teams toward solutions.

  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and with internal and external stakeholders.

Beneficial Skills and Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with integrating AI features into enterprise systems such as ERP, catalog, pricing, or order management platforms.

  • Background in construction, building products, distribution, or other complex B2B workflows.
