Job summary

PSD Scotland Technology Service is seeking highly skilled Senior Product Managers to deliver major digital health programmes. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, shape product roadmaps and align delivery with national strategies, ensuring timely, high‑quality digital services for the public and health professionals.

On 1 April 2026, NSS and NES became one national organisation, focused on continuity today and a stronger, more connected service for tomorrow.

As part of this transformation, NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) have joined to form a new organisation: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long‑term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland

Flexible Location:

The Opportunity

To enable delivery of the PSD Scotland strategy 2023-2026, and assist PSD Scotland Technology Service in our contribution to delivering against the Scottish Government Digital Health and Care Strategy and Data Strategy, PSD Scotland Technology Service is seeking highly skilled and motivated Senior Product Managers.

Working within the PSD Scotland Technology Service team you will have the opportunity to define and drive innovation that will directly inform the development of digital services for the general public, health and care professionals, and developers of digital health and care products.

• Experience of leading digital products or services in complex environments, ideally at scale
• Experience communicating complex product concerns to a wide range of stakeholders
• Experience of advanced analytical and judgement skills to balance competing priorities across national programmes, technical constraints and user needs, often working with incomplete or ambiguous information
• Experience planning and delivering work across multiple streams, including risk, issue and dependency management, and adapting plans in response to changing priorities
• Experience of acting with a high degree of autonomy, setting product direction at roadmap level and contributing to longer‑term organisational strategy
• Experience in the development of new working practices, standards and service approaches including identifying efficiency opportunities, optimising use of resources and recommending service redesign
• Experience using data and insights to shape prioritisation, evaluate performance and inform strategic decisions
• Experience conducting or overseeing discovery, research and analysis in complex service environments
• Experience of leading multi‑disciplinary delivery teams and line management of product staff and/or specialist team members
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity, care and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary
• Ability to work on own initiative, to organise and prioritise own workloads, to meet strict deadlines
