Senior Product Manager – Production & Fulfillment Systems
Yubico is seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Product Manager to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our distributed Production & Fulfillment Systems. In this pivotal role you will be a technical leader, partners closely with hardware engineering, solutions engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to build enterprise‑grade systems that produce YubiKey devices at scale.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long‑term product vision and roadmap for next‑generation production and fulfillment systems.
- Partner deeply with Engineering, Hardware, Supply Chain/Production, and Operations to design high‑impact solutions that drive automation, efficiency, and scalability.
- Translate complex manufacturing workflows, logistics needs, and hardware requirements into clear, high‑quality product requirement documents (PRDs) and user stories.
- Serve as a strategic unifier in cross‑functional technical decisions, synthesizing competing priorities and documenting trade‑offs.
- Collaborate with security and engineering teams to integrate software systems with critical cryptographic infrastructure (PKI, HSMs) while maintaining Yubico’s security standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of production processes, adopting industry trends in industrial and manufacturing automation to maximize efficiency.
- Act as the primary voice of the fulfillment and production product domain, communicating complex product strategies and system impacts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 10+ years of progressively broader product management experience with a strong track record of shipping complex, enterprise‑class hardware and manufacturing solutions.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience in technical product management within hardware production environments, manufacturing environments, or large‑scale internal tools.
- Leadership & Acumen: Ability to act as a constructive challenger to highly technical engineering partners; strong business and technical acumen to debate architectural trade‑offs and manage competing priorities across geographically distributed teams.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills to align multi‑disciplinary teams toward a unified vision.
- Preferred: Experience with firmware development, embedded systems, and managing the lifecycle of physical hardware manufacturing; knowledge of cryptographic systems (PKI, HSMs); solid grasp of industrial automation (MES, firmware integration systems); analytical mindset with hands‑on problem‑solving skills.
Salary & Benefits (U.S.)
- Salary range: $200,000 – $240,000 USD (San Francisco Bay Area).
