Dow is seeking a Counsel in its Litigation group with primary responsibility for litigation management for Dow and its affiliated companies. The preferred location is Midland, MI, with Houston, TX also considered.

You will independently provide legal counsel, manage external counsel, and coordinate with internal experts on complex product liability and asbestos-related matters. Ideal candidates will have a Juris Doctor or Master of Laws and at least 7 years of practice, plus bar admission or

Qualifications

• JD or LLM required.
• Minimum of 7 years practicing as an attorney.
• Bar admission in good standing or eligible for admission in the United States.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% annually.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal counsel to Dow and affiliated companies.
• Manage external counsel and experts.
• Draft and review legal documents.
• Oversee discovery and related budgeting.
• Set strategy for cases and docket management.
• Communicate with Legal Department management and clients.
• Participate in depositions, hearings and trials.
• Oversee appellate issues.
