Job summary

Dow has a remarkable opportunity for a Counsel in its Litigation group. The preferred location is Midland, MI, but Houston, TX may be considered. You will manage litigation for Dow and its affiliates, including asbestos personal injury matters and product liability.

We seek an attorney with at least 7 years of practice, JD/LLM, US work authorization, and willingness to travel up to 25%. You will supervise external counsel, coordinate discovery, and develop strategies with internal experts to

Qualifications

• JD or LL.M. required.
• Minimum of 7 years practicing as an attorney.
• Admission to State Bar or eligible for admission.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to clients.
• Manage external counsel and experts.
• Review and draft legal documents.
• Coordinate discovery and budgeting.
• Oversee Litigation Department staff and actions.
• Set strategic direction for each case and docket.
• Develop and implement settlement strategies.
• Communicate with Legal Department management and clients.
• Participate in depositions, hearings and trials.
• Oversee appellate issues.
