Job summary

Dow is seeking a Counsel in its Litigation group. The preferred location is Midland, MI, with Houston, TX also considered. The role involves litigation management for Dow and affiliates, including asbestos and product liability matters.

Responsibilities include providing legal counsel, managing external teams, drafting documents, overseeing discovery, and coordinating with internal experts. Travel up to 25% expected.

Qualifications

• Must have JD or equivalent and be admitted to a State Bar.
• Minimum 7 years of attorney practice.
• Willing to travel up to 25% annually.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent legal counsel to Dow and affiliates.
• Manage external counsel and experts on cases.
• Review and draft litigation documents.
• Oversee discovery and document management.
• Coordinate with internal legal SMEs and business units.
• Develop settlement strategies and case plans.
• Communicate progress to Legal leadership and clients.
• Lead deposition, hearings and trial participation.
• Oversee appellate issues and procedural matters.
