Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego seeks a senior systems engineering leader to guide product line adoption and MBSE-driven architecture across divisions. You will work with senior technical and business leaders to ensure successful transitions and align with NG digital strategies.

The role requires strong experience in system architecture, MBSE methods, and the ability to coach teams through organizational change. Active U.S. government clearance is required or achievable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with extensive related experience, or advanced degrees with seniority.
• Experience leading technical teams and making sound technical judgments.
• Experience directing design, development, testing, and delivery on programs.
• Systems engineering including requirements management and MBSE tools.
• Exposure to traceability across the lifecycle and governance processes.
• U.S. citizenship and capability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with senior leaders to guide PLA adoption and transition plans.
• Adapt architecture experience to improve product line efficiency across divisions.
• Promote organizational change to increase product line adoption.
• Apply MBSE tools to define strategies for product lines at division level.
• Coach teams on PL principles and tailor processes for organizational needs.
• Create coaching materials, templates, and processes for adoption.
• Help teams use MBSE tools to track product line variation.
• Schedule education sessions, surveys, tech demos, and trainings.
• Ensure alignment with NG digital transformation strategy.
• Document status and processes in Confluence.
