Job summary

Gigs is building the operating system for mobile services and enabling global connectivity for products. You will help build consumer-facing features and shape app development using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with UI/UX, design scalable architectures, review code, and participate in RFC-driven engineering with a bias for shipping fast and with quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building web apps with React and TypeScript.
• Proficient with Next.js and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Docker, GCP, GitHub Actions, Cypress or Testing Library.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and ship AI-enabled features is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Build consumer-facing products to deliver the best experience for customers and their users.
• Bring new ideas to shape app development and product beyond current work.
• Work with a modern tech stack using Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
• Use Frontend and Backend technologies built on top of Next.js.
• Take ownership of features from planning to shipping and optimization.
• Collaborate with UI/UX to develop the best user experiences.
• Design maintainable and scalable software architectures.
• Provide feedback, ideas, and code reviews to peers.
• Collaborate across engineering via RFC process.
