Job summary

LiveKit is hiring Product Engineers to build surfaces developers use to ship agentic applications on LiveKit. You’ll write production code in TypeScript and Go, work end to end across the stack, and ship features that developers rely on.

This core engineering role emphasizes product instinct and customer-driven iteration, with remote or SF HQ options and a collaborative in‑office culture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering experience shipping product end-to-end.
• Strong coding skills in TypeScript, with fluency in modern web frameworks. Go is a plus.
• A track record of building user-facing software that developers or technical users actually adopted.
• Strong product sense: weigh user experience, trade-offs, and value.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to ship from vague problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; excitement about agentic AI and developer platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship core product surfaces end to end on the web and CLI.
• Design and implement features that feel obvious and powerful to developers using LiveKit.
• Engage directly with developers and customers to understand how they build with LiveKit.
• Move quickly from prototype to production, iterating on real usage.
• Contribute to technical and product decisions shaping future work.
