Job summary

Mav is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own end-to-end features in Rails and Python, shaping our AI-powered dashboard and CRM experiences. You will collaborate with leadership and product planning to deliver scalable, secure software at a fast-growing startup.

This in-office role at our Las Vegas HQ offers paid relocation for the right candidate and a meaningful equity stake. You will work on the core product, optimize performance, and help ensure reliability across the stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production Rails apps (MVC, RESTful APIs).
• Proficiency in Python, especially for AI/LLM features.
• Experience with AI/LLM integrations in product settings.
• MongoDB schema design, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Frontend features with Hotwire (Turbo + Stimulus).
• RSpec, Capybara for unit/integration/E2E testing.
• Sidekiq background jobs; asynchronous workflows.
• Experience deploying/scaling on Heroku.
• Solid OO design and web security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Join product planning meetings to define, scope, and prioritize features.
• Design, build, and maintain Rails apps across full stack (DB, backend, Hotwire frontend).
• Contribute to Python services powering AI-driven messaging and autonomous workflows.
• Integrate with internal/external APIs and service interfaces.
• Build and maintain Sidekiq background jobs for async tasks.
• Optimize MongoDB queries with good schema design and indexing.
• Ensure automated tests (RSpec, Capybara) and security best practices.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain apps on Heroku.
