Responsibilities

Senior Product Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Arrangement: On-site, 5 days per week
Compensation: $200,000–$300,000 base salary, plus competitive equity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join a fast-growing technology company building next-generation developer tools and AI-powered products.

This role is ideal for an experienced full-stack engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up, operating in ambiguous environments, and taking true end-to-end ownership. You will work closely with company leadership and other highly technical team members to shape product direction, make key architectural decisions, and bring new ideas from concept to launch.

The team moves quickly, operates with a high degree of ownership, and values engineers who can think beyond individual tickets or isolated technical tasks.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack product engineering.

• Proven experience designing, building, and launching 0-to-1 products.

• Experience working in a startup, scale-up, or other high-growth environment.

• Demonstrated ownership of products from ideation through shipping and iteration.

• Strong full-stack engineering skills across frontend and backend development.

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.

• Backend engineering experience and comfort making systems-level architectural decisions.

• Experience building products used by developers, engineers, or other technical users.

• Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, developer platforms, or developer-facing tooling.

• Experience with applied AI, AI-powered product features, coding agents, or agentic workflows is highly valued.

• Ability to move quickly, operate independently, and make sound decisions in ambiguous environments.

• Strong product judgment and an understanding of how technical decisions impact the end-user experience.

Ideal Background

Strong candidates will typically have experience in environments where engineers are expected to do more than execute against predefined requirements.

This role is particularly well suited for someone who has:

• Built new products rather than primarily maintaining mature systems.

• Worked on developer tools, engineering platforms, AI products, or technical SaaS products.

• Operated in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.

• Taken significant ownership over both technical execution and product decisions.

• Worked across frontend, backend, and systems design rather than within a narrowly defined engineering function.

• A strong entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working with a high level of autonomy.

This Role May Not Be the Best Fit If

• Your experience has been primarily within large, highly structured engineering organizations with limited startup or scale-up exposure.

• Your background is primarily DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering without meaningful product ownership.

• You prefer highly defined requirements and narrow ownership over individual components.

• You have limited recent hands-on experience building and shipping full-stack products.

Interview Process
