Job summary

TekniPlex is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive the development and commercialization of advanced flexible packaging and liner structures. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations and QA to meet strategic goals and ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities include trial management, cost estimation, material specs, and technology transfer to production, while maintaining regulatory and quality standards. Strong cross-functional teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• BS/BS Engineering or technical degree with related packaging experience.
• 7+ years in flexible packaging product development or a related field.
• Experience with packaging substrates, coatings, and resins.
• Knowledge of DoE, Six Sigma and statistical analysis helpful.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and commercialization of new flexible packaging products.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Production and QA to meet requirements.
• Manage trials, documentation and scale-up for plant commercialization.
• Develop cost estimates and raw material specs for new structures.
• Provide technical support to customers and field teams.
• Transfer technology to manufacturing with clear procedures.
• Maintain awareness of regulations and ensure quality standards.
