Job summary

Aegis Worldwide in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced packaging engineer to lead the development of innovative flexible packaging structures and technologies.

You will translate customer and market requirements into technical specifications, plan pilot and production trials, and coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver packaging solutions that meet performance, quality, and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Packaging, Plastics, Materials Science, or related technical field.
• 5–10 years of experience in product development, package development, R&D, or manufacturing within flexible packaging.
• Strong understanding of flexible packaging materials (OPP, PET, PE, nylon, paper, foil) and packaging structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of innovative flexible packaging structures to expand product capabilities.
• Translate customer needs into technical specs for packaging solutions meeting performance and quality.
• Plan and oversee pilot, production and filling trials to validate products and processes.
• Collaborate with leaders, customers, suppliers, and partners to align on objectives and requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with internal teams and external resources to hit milestones.
