Job summary

OtterBase is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to support rapid growth in aerospace programs and increase engineering bandwidth for a fast-paced workload.

The role involves driving projects from concept to launch, interfacing with customers, and taking ownership of workstreams while contributing to a new aerospace capability at OtterBase.

Qualifications

• Strong product development engineering background.
• Experience with design reviews, feasibility assessments, and GD&T.
• CAD experience and understanding of assemblies/manufacturing processes.
• Experience with aluminum preferred.
• Aerospace industry experience is a bonus but not required.
• Experience with PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter) is helpful but not critical.
• Broader metals experience acceptable if aluminum is limited.

The Sr Product Development Engineer (PDE) will support rapid growth in aerospace programs. This role is critical to increasing engineering bandwidth as current resources are stretched across a high-volume, fast-paced workload.

Responsibilities/skills

• Interface directly with customers
• Lead initiatives with minimal oversight; take ownership of workstreams
• Contribute to building and scaling a new/emerging aerospace-focused capability
