Job summary

Henkel's Adhesive Technologies unit is seeking a senior materials scientist to develop and formulate novel electronic materials, including conductive, resistive, and dielectric inks, for defense system requirements, in close collaboration with customers.

You will optimize ink formulations for various printing techniques, plan lab experiments, and steer cross-functional teams to deliver new applications, IP opportunities, and product launches while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master degree in chemistry, materials science, or related field (PhD preferred).
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in electronic materials or ink formulation (defense/space asset).
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment for formulation and characterization; printing equipment experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and interpret experiments.
  • Willingness to travel to customers; commercial/business development experience is beneficial; US citizenship or green card required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and formulate novel electronic materials, including conductive, resistive, and dielectric inks according to defense system requirements in close contact with customers.

  • Plan and execute lab experiments and conduct analytical tests and characterization (e.g., viscosity, rheology, conductivity, adhesion, stability).
  • Shape product strategy and identify growth opportunities in alignment with strategy, business development, and key account teams.
  • Collaborate with and steer cross-functional team to execute technical strategy at customer, including product launches, complaint management, and new application development: (Sales, KAM, BD, PD, Operations, Lab Technician, etc)
  • Protect innovations by identifying IP opportunities and filing relevant IP.

What you´ll do
