Job summary

BiOrigin Specialty Products is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor, New Product Development – MG Paper, to lead the technical and commercial development of new machine-glazed paper products through BiOrigin's five-step stage-gate process. You will evaluate market opportunities, define product and manufacturing requirements, develop cost budgets, and support scale-up to drive profitable growth across MG paper and related coatings. The role requires travel up to 70%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in MG paper or related environments with new product development leadership.
• Experience with functional coatings and CTQ requirements.
• Ability to lead stage-gate processes and provide executive support.

Responsibilities

• Lead MG paper product development through a five-step stage-gate process from concept to launch.
• Align cross-functional teams across commercial, operations, finance, sourcing, and quality.
• Develop market analyses, pricing assumptions, and channel fit for new concepts.
• Build development cost budgets covering trials, materials, coatings, waxing, testing, and validation.
• Prepare business cases including NPV, revenue, margins, and capital requirements.
• Define CTQ specs and translate into MG paper requirements.
• Coordinate mill trials, testing, and customer validation.
• Provide guidance during scale-up and early production.
• Track post-launch performance against business case assumptions.
