Job summary

NPR is seeking a Senior Product Designer to contribute from concept to pixel-perfect launch. You will guide end-to-end design across web, mobile, voice, CarPlay and more, collaborating with researchers, product managers and developers to inform vision and create engaging experiences for NPR's audience.

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of product design experience with 2-3 years of retention-based projects on mobile, web or other digital platforms.
• Proven ability to simplify complex offerings into intuitive experiences that drive retention and conversion.
• UI expertise with scalable interaction patterns and design systems for large-scale platforms.
• Experience designing across desktop, mobile, and connected devices; strong agile/s design thinking.
• Proficiency in prototyping from low to high fidelity; strong curiosity about user behavior.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and direct end-to-end design experiences and design systems.
• Gather business requirements and translate to audience-focused goals.
• Collaborate with researchers, product managers, and developers to define vision.
• Create and evolve design systems and Figma libraries for a consistent experience.
• Recommend and execute user research; advise on changes based on findings.
• Understand audiences and how design decisions affect them.
• Work with developers to build prototypes and refine products.
• Lead design thinking and co-creation sessions with partners.
