Job summary

NPR is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the full design lifecycle from concept to pixel-perfect implementation. You will partner with researchers, product managers, and engineers to inform product vision and craft engaging, accessible experiences for millions of NPR listeners across web, mobile, voice, and connected devices.

The role emphasizes top-of-funnel engagement, design systems, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of product design experience on mobile, web or digital platforms.
• Proven ability to simplify complex offerings into intuitive experiences that drive retention and conversion.
• Experience designing across multiple platforms with scalable interaction patterns and design systems.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and direct end-to-end design experiences and design systems.
• Translate business requirements into audience-focused product goals.
• Collaborate with researchers, PMs and developers to define product vision.
• Build and evolve Figma libraries to ensure a consistent digital experience across platforms.
• Conduct user research and recommend changes based on findings.
• Understand target audiences and impact of design decisions.
• Work with developers to prototype and refine products.
• Facilitate design thinking and co-creation sessions with partners.
