Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Designer for the Developer Foundations team.

You will own the end-to-end experience of the Developer Portal, shaping documentation, API dashboards, onboarding flows, and self-service tooling for external developers integrating with Coinbase’s platform. You will lead design system contributions, partner with product and engineering to reduce friction, and drive user research to validate decisions.

Qualifications

5+ years of product design experience, including developer tools or documentation.
End-to-end ownership of multi-surface products shipped to production.
Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system with scalable thinking.
Proficiency in Figma for design delivery, prototyping, and system management.
Track record of integrating user research insights into design decisions.
Experience with generative AI features with human oversight to improve workflow.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design for the Developer Portal, including documentation, API dashboards, onboarding flows, and self-service tooling.
Lead design system contributions for developer-facing surfaces to ensure consistency and scalability.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Developer Relations to identify friction points and ship improvements.
Lead user research and usability testing with external developers to validate decisions.
Shape AI-powered features within the Portal, including intelligent search and code generation experiences.
Build and maintain design specs, prototypes, and interaction patterns in Figma for engineering delivery.
