Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Product Designer for the Developer Foundations team. You will shape the end-to-end experience for developers building on Coinbase, owning the Developer Portal, API dashboards, and onboarding flows to drive adoption.

You will lead design system work, partner with Product, Engineering and Developer Relations, and conduct user research with external developers to inform decisions and improvements at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience, incl. 2+ years designing developer tools or docs.
• Ownership of end-to-end design for complex, multi-surface products shipped to production.
• Proven experience contributing to or maintaining a design system with scalable thinking.
• Proficiency in Figma for design delivery, prototyping, and system management.
• Strong user research integration shaping shipped outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for the Developer Portal, including docs, API dashboards, onboarding flows and self-service tooling.
• Lead design system contributions for developer-facing surfaces, ensuring consistency and scalability.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Developer Relations to improve the developer journey.
• Drive user research and usability testing with external developers to validate decisions.
• Shape how AI-powered features surface within the Portal, like intelligent search and code generation.
• Create and maintain design specs, prototypes, and interaction patterns in Figma for engineering delivery.
