Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Product Designer for the Developer Foundations team. You will shape end-to-end experiences for developers building on Coinbase, including the Developer Portal, API dashboards, and onboarding flows.

You will lead design system contributions, work with cross-functional teams to reduce friction, and drive research to inform ship-ready design decisions. This role emphasizes responsible use of AI and scalable design solutions.

Qualifications

5+ years in product design, with developer tools or documentation experience.
Proven end-to-end design ownership for multi-surface products.
Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system with scalable thinking.
Ability to use user research to guide design decisions and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design for the Developer Portal including docs, API dashboards, onboarding flows, and self-service tooling.
Lead design system contributions for developer-facing surfaces for consistency and scale.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Developer Relations to identify friction points and ship improvements.
Drive user research and usability testing with external developers to validate decisions.
Shape AI-powered features in the Portal, including intelligent search and code generation.
Create and maintain design specs and prototypes in Figma as the single source of truth.
